About Ngon Cooking Class

Where Tradition Meets Taste: The Story of Ngon

At Ngon Cooking Class, we believe food is the most heartfelt way to connect with culture. It began as a small, home-based class in Dalat. Now it has grown into a vibrant culinary experience in the coastal town of Phan Rang, Vietnam.

Our name, “Ngon” (meaning “delicious” in Vietnamese), captures everything we stand for—flavour, warmth, and joy. We’re not just teaching recipes. We’re inviting you into real Vietnamese kitchens. These kitchens are led by real people with deep roots in the community.

Every class is hosted in a friendly, open space. You’ll cook side-by-side with our local instructors. You will explore traditional markets. You learn the stories behind the dishes. You can enjoy street food favorites like Bánh Xèo. You can also savor comforting bowls of Bún Bò. Each session is a chance to taste Vietnam’s soul, one bite at a time.

Whether you’re a solo traveller, a curious couple, or a family looking to explore beyond tourist trails, Ngon offers a cooking class that’s intimate, educational, and unforgettable. And as we expand from Phan Rang across more parts of Vietnam, our mission stays the same: to celebrate Vietnamese culture through food, one guest at a time

Each class at Ngon is hands-on, beginner-friendly, and packed with flavour. Whether it’s learning to roll fresh spring rolls or mastering pho broth, we’ve got something for every taste.

Our Partners

We are proud to partner with local businesses, chefs, and cultural spaces across Vietnam. From home stays to restaurants and travel groups, they help us share the joy of Vietnamese cooking with more people.

Currently partnered across Phan Rang, Dalat, and other vibrant destinations — with new locations joining soon!

At Ngon, we don’t call them “chefs.”
We call them local instructors — local cooks, home kitchen storytellers, and everyday food heroes.

Vietnamese food is special not because of techniques and recipes, but because of the unseen hands behind it: the mothers, sisters, and street-side vendors who have spent decades cooking for their families.
Their recipes weren’t written down — they were passed through taste, memory, and love.

That’s why every dish in Vietnam tastes a little different from one alley to the next — each one carrying the flavor of a specific home.

In our class, you’re not just learning how to cook.
You’re sharing a table with culture, listening to the stories behind the food, and discovering what makes Vietnamese cuisine truly local.

Mr. Chuối is your guide to Vietnam’s vibrant street markets. With a deep knowledge of herbs, spices, and local culture, he bridges tradition with a modern teaching style.
